Malibus Most Wanted: Underrated, Probably

This film is the best. It made me laugh a lot. Sometimes I wonder if I'm getting dumber every day. Nonetheless, I suggest you go rent it asap. It got a 4.9/10 on metacritic, but I would raise that score to something more like Awesome!/10. Funny, heartwarming, and it has my boy Terry Crew in it (from movies like White Chicks) as 8 Ball:

Thats Terry Crew, lookin' at you.
Speaking of T. Crew. He sure can rave. Actually. F-it. This Post is re-dedicated to Terry Crews. If I could hang out w/ anyone in Hollywood, it would definitely be him. I can only imagine the fun we'd have!

3 (OK 4) Great Female Vocalists
It Started with Cities in Dust - I just rlly liek Siouxsie's voice mixed with this nutty 80's vid. Then I remembered Lisa Miskovsky's single for the game "Mirror's Edge" (which I've never played), Still Alive, which is much different. She's a Swede, hence the ethereal, I suppose. All of a sudden, I couldn't help myself but amalgamate to this femmy bloc Candy Castles by Glass Candy. Along with other female vocalists, including The Knife and Goldfrapp, Glass Candy makes a brand of music I like to call "Neo-Disco Miami House". Most of the songs from the Scarface Soundtrack, notably Debby Harry's "Rush Rush (to the Yeo)" just evoke certain similarities. Enough.Friday, June 19, 2009
Deadmau5 Rox!
Just starting to get to know Deadmau5 (like Dead Mouse:). Superb music and they have a great, say inspirational, video that lists off the "ten commandments about being a raver," which somehow come off as rising above just being laws for partying. "We're in a recession. Most of ya's, ya just sit back in apathy. You got your playstations and your internet and your mobile phone but thats nothing. That's just smack for your generation...you got two choices. You either sit back, and let it all happen, or you stand up and let your voice be heard."
That "Inspirational Video" aka "I Remember" (named after their first single).

Under The Milky Way
This song does things to me. Kinky (but clean) things. I first heard it as part of the Donnie Darko soundtrack while watching said film my sophomore (wise fool) year in college. It is one of those songs that just glues me to the In fact, a lot of the songs off that soundtrack are still my favorites, including Tear's for Fears' "Head Over Heels" and Echo and the Bunnyman's "The Killing Moon".

The Wilhelm Scream
I'm a pretty big fan of the "Wilhelm Scream". Dunno why...it's just funny. Anyways, I just saw a (relatively) new Pixar short that has it at the very end.
Below is a "Wilhelm Scream" compilation showing its use through the silver, golden and future (aka now) decades and the short, "Lifted"
I mean, I think it's pretty swell.
From Wikipedia, about the Wilhelm Scream:

From Wikipedia, about the Wilhelm Scream:
The Wilhelm scream is a repeatedly used film and television stock sound effect first used in 1951 for the film Distant Drums.[1] The effect gained new popularity (its use often becoming an in-joke) after it was used in Star Wars and many other blockbuster films as well as television programs and video games. [2]
The Wilhelm scream has become a well-known cinematic sound cliché, and is claimed to have been used in over 140 films,[3] as well as every episode of Primeval, and in some form, every episode of The Middleman (TV series).
